Quality Control Manager
Description
Requirements
- Manages QC employees
- Manages the QC department ensuring raw materials, bought out parts, test record keeping, and workmanship meets or exceeds the Company's Quality Standard
- Check product quality for any defects and report quality issues to shift Supervisor
- Notify Machine Operator of any product flaws
- Creates Quality procedures and Standard operating procedures from Molding, Trimming, to Testing
- Record the quantity of non-conforming product per shift in the ERP system, adjust inventory accordingly
- Quarantine non-conforming product and mark for disposal via the grinding process
- Perform other duties a required
- Ensure employees are wearing PPE at all times
- Review “Near Miss” and “Accident / Injury” reports for QC related issues related issues
- Conduct quality audits on products produced on each shift
- Discuss results of each quality audit with Production Manager and Shift Supervisor
- Retain a copy of each quality audit
- Bachelor’s Degree in QA, preferred
- Quality Management experience
- OSHA training an asset
- Lean Six Sigma an asset
- Experience using hand tools, air tools and electrical tools
- Familiar with a manufacturing setting
- Ensure all work activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with Company PPE standards
- Perform repetitive movements
- Stand, bend, lift for long periods of time
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Maintenace Technician
- Perform preventive maintenance activities,
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
- Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and painting repairs as necessary
- Inspect heating and cooling systems
- Repair damage to warehouse floor
- Manage building and grounds
- Install appliances and equipment

- Familiar with a manufacturing setting

- Demonstrates skills with power tools
- Possesses physical strength necessary to lift and move heavy equipment
- Familiar with electrical and wired systems
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Capable of adapting repair skills and mechanical knowledge to a wide range of different requests
- Respond quickly and calmly to emergency requests
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures

Machine Operator – USA
Operate Roto Mold machine that will produce quality products as per customer specifications. Reports to Supervisor.
- Weigh pails of powder as per product specifications ie weight, color
- Ensure all supplies are available at machine prior to shift i.e. vent tubes etc
- Prepare molds - clean vent tubes, parting lines and replace breather material prior to the start of every cycle
- Check product quality for any defects and report quality issues to Lead Hand and/or Supervisor
- Read and understand procedures to produce products
- Use crane to open mold to extract product when cycle is complete
- Respond to trimmer findings and troubleshoot quality issues
- Meet machine cycle time targets and keep machine operating efficiently in cycle
- Handle molds with necessary care to ensure longevity of tools
- Keep clamps adjusted to ensure mold closes properly with no leaks
- Assist with mold changes as required
- Record number of products completed per shift on Daily Productivity Sheets
- Maintain a clean work station
- Ensure wearing PPE at all times
- Perform other duties a required
- Experience using hand tools, air tools and electrical tools
- Familiar with a manufacturing setting
- Mechanical knowledge is an asset
- Quality control techniques is an asset

Trimmer – USA
Trim all products as per customer specifications and prepare product for shipping. All work is done at production machines. Reports to Supervisor/Lead Hand/Plant Manager. WHMIS training an asset.
- Check product quality for any defects and report quality issues to Lead Hand and/or Supervisor
- Notify Machine Operator of any product flaws
- Read and understand procedures to trim products
- Ensure wearing PPE at all times
- Trim product with hand tools for excess flash
- Drill holes to insert various parts (ie. screen, valves, wires etc.) to complete product assembly
- Sand product to ensure smooth finish
- Flame product as required
- Polish product and check for imperfections
- Stack product on skids
- Shrink wrap skids and transport skid to warehouse
- Weigh pails of powder as per product specifications
- Deliver pails of powder to Machine Operator
- Take scrap products to grinding area
- Record number of products completed per shift on Daily Productivity Sheets
- Maintain a clean work station
- Experience using hand tools, air tools and electrical tools
- Familiar with a manufacturing setting
- Ensure all work activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with Company PPE standards
