Job description

We are looking for a skilled Accounting Administrator to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. The Accounting Administrator is responsible for handling all vendor invoices and managing the accounts payable ledger. The position includes all accounts payable, accounts receivable and payments duties.


  • Accounts payable invoice and data entry
  • Vendor payments, scheduling and preparing cheques, resolving invoice or payment discrepancies
  • Reconcile to vendor statements on a monthly basis
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Prepare invoices and email to customers
  • Ensure all company financial information is kept confidential
  • Handle company returns process and issue credits as required
  • Post customer payments and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies
  • Processes purchase orders and requisitions for materials and equipment
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Administration


  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office application
  • Previous ERP system knowledge preferred
  • Proven work experience with accounts payable and receivable
  • Proven work experience as an accounting clerk
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills and hands-on experience with spreadsheets and software
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Outstanding customer service orientation
