The Production Manager will have a specific focus on product quality, operational improvement, health and safety awareness and cost reduction.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations
• Schedule all production to ensure customer orders are processed on time
• Release Work Orders to the production floor via. Supervisors
• Input data and Pull reports from the ERP system
• Work with employees to ensure quality standard and production quotas (rounds) are met
• Suggest recommendations to encourage improvements
• Develop machine setups to ensure a properly cured product
• Make necessary adjustments to machines to improve efficiency
• Clean, seal, and mold release new molds in preparation for production runs
• Assist on new projects and prototyping
• Delegate workload to Supervisors, Lead hands and Maintenance
• Assist in troubleshooting of issues
Quality Assurance
• Perform and validate quality checks
• Document that quality standards are being met
• Provide advice to supervisors, operators and finishers where needed to guarantee regulatory compliance
• Make necessary changes to prevent or limit scrap.
Health & Safety
• Help develop and enforce safe practices for employees in all areas
• Train supervisors and workers on safety requirements
• Ensure that personal protective equipment requirements are being met
• Attend Accident Reviews and Investigations meetings and Health and Safety meetin
EDUCATION & TRAINING
• Bachelor’s degree in pertinent field or equivalent experience
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
• 5-10 years proven work experience as a Supervisor/Production Manager
• Proven management work record of safety, quality, productivity,
• Demonstrated measurable improvements in productivity, health and safety, quality and service
SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
• Ability to adapt in a complex work environment
• Ensure efficiency of operations by optimizing resources
• Motivate, coach and develop direct reports to ensure an engaged workforce
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead, motivate and develop people
WORKING CONDITIONS
Warehouse setting • Noisy • Periods of extreme heat
HOURS / SHIFT:
Days 5:30 AM – 3:30 PM
